Description
The bridge and culvert condition data is to be collected twice a year during the pre-monsoon period and post-monsoon period for three years, with the help of the Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit.
The bridge and culvert inventory data is to be collected during the first six months of the contract period, using the data collection Tablet, using the Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit, and it needs to be updated every year.
All the bridge and culvert inventory and condition data is collected from the entire National Highway network, including the portion entrusted to NHAI or as per the direction of the employer.
In addition, all Bridges, Culverts, ROBs, and elevated structures are to be inspected using the MBIU.

All the data was collected by digital inventory using advanced technology and software provided by the ministry. The MBIU machine has been used for a structural audit of the major structures.
